Legal profession stands at a defining moment where competence, integrity and adaptability are indispensable to the effective administration of justice. The Bar is an important stakeholder in the justice system, and its young members represent the future strength and vitality of legal practice in Pakistan. They require guided exposure to courtroom practice, procedural mastery, ethical standards, and professional responsibility in order to serve the justice system with confidence and excellence.
In order to improve and enhance the professional skills of young lawyers and to provide them with structured exposure to procedural law, advocacy skills, ethical standards, the art of cross-examination, admissibility and relevancy of evidence, family laws, and revenue laws, the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), in line with the vision of the Hon'ble Chief Justice of Pakistan has launched a flagship e-learning programme, which has also been made as the practical equivalent of the one week of mandatory Bar Vocational Course (BVC).
This initiative is conceived not merely as a training programme, but as a technology-integrated, foundational professional development pathway for young lawyers. It was formally announced by the Hon'ble Chief Justice of Pakistan during a consultative engagement with members of the Bar on May 1, 2026.
